Vanessa “Vanie” Gandler is an outside hitter for the Ateneo Blue Eagles Women’s Volleyball team in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). The UAAP is one of the premier college sports leagues in the Philippines, featuring top universities from across the country.

Vanie started playing volleyball at a young age and developed a passion for the sport. She eventually earned a spot on the Ateneo Blue Eagles roster, where she became a key player known for her powerful spikes and strong defensive skills. Throughout her time with the Ateneo Blue Eagles, Vanie helped lead the team to several important victories and accomplishments. In the UAAP Season 82, for instance, she played a crucial role in Ateneo’s triumph over the De La Salle University Lady Spikers, which marked the team’s third straight championship win. Vanie’s impressive performance on the court earned her recognition from fans and critics alike, as well as a reputation as one of the top Outside Hitters in the UAAP. Her contributions to the Ateneo Blue Eagles Volleyball team have undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the program and its fans. This 2023, Vanie has since graduated from her university and will be joining the ranks of other notable athletes in the Professional Volleyball League.
